OK, confession time: Greek has gone from a guilty pleasure of mine to something bordering on obsession. I love to hate (and not just sort of dislike, but hate) Rebecca, I'm wary of Frannie, I love-love-love Ashleigh and I get a kick out of every time Casey goes "Yay!" in that forced-enthusiasm way she has. I have a huge crush on Cappie (while also understanding the frustrations of actually dating guys like him), I think Evan is smug and manipulative, Rusty is endearing and Dale is hands-down one of the funniest and most well-realized characters on TV right now. Finally, I love that ABC Family features a gay character — a gay frat boy, no less — and actually gives Calvin some meaty storylines (as opposed to watering him down to a depressing stereotype). I genuinely crave Greek episodes. It's entirely possible that I will TiVo tonight's episode and watch a few minutes per day this week, just to make it last. See what I mean about obsession? Right. Moving on. . .
You might've guessed that I'm saddened by tonight's season finale. Titled "Spring Broke," the synopsis is as follows: "The gang hits the beach for Spring break! Casey leaves all her emotional baggage back at school for some fun in the sun. While Rusty realizes that the beach bum lifestyle isn't for him and reunites with old friends on his way back to CRU."
Are you as hooked on this show as I am? Maybe just a little bit? To check out a featurette with the adorable Amber Stevens (who plays Ashleigh) giving a tour of the Spring break beach set, as well as see a preview of the episode, just read more.

I love love love this show. I started watching it when it first aired, then lost track of it after about four episodes. When the dvd was released, I bought it on a whim to catch up and was not disappointed. It is one show I could watch over and over again. And I genuinely agree with everything that you said BuzzSugar! Although, I really do hate Rebecca and wish many bad things on her. I'm already waiting for this season on dvd...
1I also ADORE this show. It's quickly become one of my absolute favorites that I can't wait for each week. And I second the crush on Cappie. I'm so excited for tonight, but sad at the same time. Damn.
2I agree with everything you said about the characters Buzz! I too love love this show! I think its funny and some of the jokes are so current! I think lately its been kind of boring because its been the same Casey and Evan story line for weeks, but I have a feeling some action will happen tonight--I HOPE!
3i love this show!!! and i love cappie too! although i dont hate rebecca, i do dislike her. i cant believe its done for the season
4Im glad that everyone else loves this show too! Ive been hooked since the 1st season and the storylines never seem to be dull. I cant believe that the seasons over already!
5I also love Greek, but I'm missing the Season finale tonight! I know it's pretty awful but hopefully the bf will be kind enough to DVR it since I don't have one.
6I am so with you on Greek-- I liked last season but this season, I really really look forward to every episode-- I'm sad it's the finale tonight!
and I loathe/hate Rebecca too!!!
7completely obsessed with this show. i got hooked last season and was so glad it came back for another!
8Yes, I am equally obsessed with this show. I wrote it off when it first came out but they had a few free episodes on iTunes during the writer's strike and I was instantly hooked. My parents love it too (hehe)
I think it's weird that the season finale ends with Spring Break. *shrugs* oh well!
9it's a great show and i understand the obsession. i saw that it's available on dvd at target.
10They have the best one-liners on this show.
My favorite was when Rusty was feeling left out by his pledge brothers and he told Casey he felt like the fat one in a boy band.
Her response: It's pronounced "Fatone".
Priceless
11I agree with everything said in the original post. I just started watching 'Greek' like two week ago but already I love it. Can't stand Rebecca, she has her moments, but those are few and far in between. Rusty is adorable. And Cappie and Casey are so Joey/Pacey of Dawson's Creek. I want them to get together so bad.
12I love this show - it's the only reason that I don't go to my husbands monday softball games. After today I'll have to go, boo!
13This show is by far the best one on TV right now, which is why I'm so sad its ending tonight! I loved this show from the beginning, and I too, think it's awesome they are including the gay story line... very well done. The writers of this show are brilliant! haha I, too HATE Rebecca & I don't trust Frannie at all. I feel like this season just started, how can it be over so soon!
14I LOVE Greek! Even though Evan is a jerk, I can't help but love him. One of the most underrated characters has to be Beaver, I love his one liners and he is verrry cute. I can't wait for the spring break episode tonight, I'm almost scared to see what happens between Frannie and Evan. I can't stand Frannie! Just when I was getting used to her being the nice one. So deceiving.
I also might be the only one that is not in love with Cappie. He just does not float my boat.
15mariellynelly — I TOTALLY agree about Beaver! I rewound and re-watched the scene in which he pretends to be Tina on the other line when Rusty "calls" to break up with her maybe five times because I could not stop laughing! He's such a great character.
16Beav is the best! I love how they're making him a bigger character. Of course I'm in love with Cappie, who isn't?
The reason they're ending with spring break is because they are trying to stretch out the show as long as possible. Casey, Ashleigh, Evan and Cappie are all juniors, so if every season was a year they'd only get two seasons. (It's just like what One Tree Hill did). It works well enough but sometimes timeline stuff gets messed up (a lot on OTH).
17Rusty makes me laugh so hard. It's great how he tries to convert Calvin yet doesn't seem to be openly hostile. You don't know how excited I get whenever I see the previews- CASEY AND CAPPIE, OMGAHH. I remember the preview for Freshman Daze and how they completely fooled me. Man, I'm so excited
18I never can pay attention to this show when I'm watching it.
19I looove this show. I totally have a crush on Evan even though he's an ass half of the time. I HATE REBECCA!
20I love this show! I love the different perspectives it gives on each of the characters. Rusty is this cute naive boy finding his way in college. Casey is coming into her power but is still innocent and fun. Ashleigh is so upbeat, perky and happy. Dale well I have to say I think dale got my heart when rusty first walks into his dorm and there hangs the confederate flag. I laughed so hard! He kind of reminds me of a Michael Scott, completely clueless and says the most outrageous things and just doesn't get it and then sometimes they both surprise you.
21i lovelovelove greek as well. i got so tickled because some headline came up with the girls from the hills at the new bowling alley in the O.C. and there was some allusion to "some guys from some show none of you have ever seen." i imdb'd the names and it was the Beaver and Heath and, well, of course i knew who those guys were on the show i ALWAYS watch. just got me so tickled.
one of my best friends kind of looks like rebecca and we joke about how much we hate her, but she's pretty. fierce and vicious in more way than one, etc.
