Ever since Nancy Botwin hopped on that scooter at the end of the third season of Weeds, I've been waiting to see what the writers would come up with for season four. The new season premieres two weeks from tonight, on June 16, and frankly, I'm still not entirely sure how it's going to look.
What news has slipped out about this season has been interesting, though some might find it troublesome. Without getting terribly spoiler-y: Nancy's living somewhere new, and Heylia and Conrad are no longer regular characters (where to go for my Romany Malco fix?). There's something to be said for reinventing a show in its fourth season — but will it be the same Weeds we know and love?
The video clip below, which has interviews and a few short scenes from the start of season four, doesn't necessarily answer that question — but it does whet my appetite for more. We see Nancy's new home, her new drink (diet root beer — presumably there's no It's A Grind where she's living now), and the new Botwin: her father, played by Albert Brooks.
The show's third season got mixed reactions (at least among my friends), but while I missed some of the lighter bits from earlier years, I still liked it enough to make the new DVD set one of my must-haves for this month and circle June 16 on my calendar. What about you? Will you be back for more, wherever the show might wind up? To check out the video, just read more.

this show is really funny and entertaining, and I lovvv Mary-Louise Parker, but I just couldn't ever get hooked...
1can 't wait!!
2WTH, No Conrad, what about the relationship it took 3 seasons to get too. Ok, I'll take Albert Brooks, but you need Conrad and Heylia. I think the show suffered a little bit last season because there was less Heylia. Having said all that, can't wait.
3I love this show, but I need Conrad. Hello, the chemistry between those two was sizzling. We definitely need him and Heylia. Can't wait for this show to start again.
4No! I want Conrad to be a part of it!
5Totally need Conrad, love him love him, and love them together.
6Get your fix in Baby Mama! So great to see him on the big screen!
Hope he makes it to Weeds, tho--wherever she ends up!
7OMG I saw the preview for the new season the other day and I started screaming. I cannot wait for Weeds to start back up.
8This is my favorite show, second only to Entourage. I think the writers like having Mary Louise Parker experiencing several relationships through the seasons.
I really liked her DEA/NARC boyfriend(Martin Donovan) that she secretly married, and then ended up getting rubbed out.

:cheer: omg I totally cannot wait!!!
:cheer:
10I used to love this show, but it really has gotten so ridiculous in the last season that I dont know if i want to watch anymore. the same thing happened to me with lost.
11I need Conrad too. Can't wait for the new season!
12For me, Nancy evolved from a sort of cute/quirky character into a chick I can barely stand to watch! And where was Doug, he was my fav and he was barely around?! Last season annoyed me so much I'm not sure that I can commit to watching the 4th season. I did love trying to figure out the artists singing for the opening credits every week though.
13Hahah, love the boxed wine in the background!
14if there ever was a season for more Conrad its this one, I mean hello they finally hooked up. honestly though I'm not excited...I thought season three was such a downward spiral and the character of Nancy became someone viewers could no longer sympathize with.
15I have just recently caught on to Weeds and am now half way through Season 3. I am pretty excited for Season 4, but I can't imagine them living anywhere else except Agrestic, er, I mean Majestic.
16I can't wait. I also can't wait for the follow-up show, Diary of a Call Girl.
I saw this special the other night after Tudors and I don't know what to think of it, yet. No more little boxes on the hillside? I may cry.
Oh.. and tell me when Nancy-pants and Conrad finally did the deed it wasn't the hotness. D-a-y-u-m.
17I wish I had Showtime, but I don't...so, I guess I'll be watching season 4 when it comes out on DVD.
