So far, the pros for this movie include all the members of a stellar and adorable cast which, as I've reported before, includes just about everyone. Seriously. Based on the preview alone, though, Ginnifer Goodwin looks like she might steal a lot of scenes from the bigger named stars.
The movie is based on the bestselling book that was based on a Sex and the City episode about women overanalyzing men too much when things are sometimes as simple as, "He's just not into you." It's supposed to be liberating. . . or something. I guess the con for me is that I'm not quite clear on how this constitutes a cohesive plot and the trailer is no help with that. At first I thought it was a movie about how men play games and sidestep issues, but then Scarlett Johansson's character plays games, too, so. . . maybe it's just about game-playing.
Anyway, just seeing these familiar faces with The Cure's "Friday I'm in Love," blasting in the background is pretty fun. The movie was originally supposed to come out this summer but has now been pushed back to October 24. I like a good romcom in the fall, so I'm not complaining. I loved the book and the trailer looks interesting, so I'll give this one a try, no doubt.
I have been waiting forever to see this movie.. so many great people! I hope they knock it out of the park!
i'll pass
I can't wait to see this. What a great group of characters!
so do i ella1978
this looks real real cute!
i love the continued reference to the episode in SATC - but i guess it's true right? they woudln't have written the book if berger hadn't said anything. anyway, with this cast, i'm sure it'll be decent. i know that i'll go see it...even though i've read the book and it's typically hard to match a movie to a book.
i'll put it on my netflix list
Netflix !
looks cute enough but more likely for a lazy weekend rental than seeing it in the theaters.
The book was great. Movie looks okay... we'll get it when it hits dvd.
Aww, this looks cute and quirky! Although it may be a movie that should go straight to DVD..I'd definetly buy it.
It doesn't look bad, definitely a rental.
Huh! This actually looks like it could have potential. Color me surprised.
Will wait to see what Buzz says when she reviews it.
Looks pretty funny and what a dream cast!
what a great cast.
the book was smart, so hopefully that will transfer to the film. i'll definitely see it. it looks cute.
I definately want to see it! Great cast!
The movie looks interesting...it kind of seems like an American version of Love Actually because of the characters' connections to each other. For example, Jennifer Connelly plays Bradley Cooper's wife and Ginnifer Goodwin's sister...I don't know what the other connections are.
Looking forward to see this one!
Though I HATE romcom's, I may see this one. Ginnifer's awesome!
Lol! That last scene was hilarious. Can't wait to catch this romcom. Looks really good, especially with all the A-listers.
Whose not in this movie is a good question to ask. I loved the book, and that sex and the city episode it was from... but I'm not sure about this movie. I will definitely watch it when it comes to cable
this actually looks good! yay! the book and the sex and the city ep are phenom, so i hope this lives up to those standards.
Hmm, I'm actually impressed with this one. I may check it out.
looks cute..might watch it on dvd
I'l probably check it out. Looks pretty entertaining, I enjoy romantic comedies and the cast is fantastic. I'm looking forward to see Jennifer Aniston back on screen, and I love Scarlett and Ginnifer! I haven't read the book, looks like a cool summer read.
i'll check it out - looks cute! i will be waiting for the dvd, of course.
This movie sounds interesting. And is yet another testament to the amazing writing from Sex and the City-- he's just not that into you! lol
i will def rent it when it comes out
I'll watch this movie
Love Ginnifer Goodwin, glad she's in it!
With a cast like that... it'd be a huge stinger for a lot of people if the movie flops!
I'll probably wait to hear 'real peoples' reviews (versus critics) before I decide whether to see it or not.
I'VE BEEEN WANTING TO READ THIS BOOK FOR ALONG TIME NOW, BUT SINCE THE MOVIE IS COMING OUT I WON BOTHER. CAN'T WAIT TO SEE IT.
I CAN'T WAIT FOR THIS! I LOVE THE BOOK!
At first, I didn't really get how or even why they would make the self-help book into a movie. But after watching the trailer, I'm really intriqued! It definitely looks fun and with lots of cool actors, it think it could be a hit.
Not INTERESTED, at all!!!!
Wow, someone is giving old affleck a break by putting him in a movie with such big stars. He is such a worthless actor.
i think that loooks really sweet... i also really like bradley cooper, so i think the movie's sold for me!!
I bought and read the book when it first came out. I realized then what all my other friends had been trying to tell me about this one guy. Then I also realized how this can adapt to anyone in your life; friends, strangers, employers, and coworkers. Then you also have the view that you can flip these and see how you treat people as well... and then you can manipulate people into doing what you want them to do. But all in all I think the movie will be a great chick flick. I don't think it would be very fitting for a guy to watch it and learn some new tricks. That would just be shameful.
looks so good. i feel like im in the 'not into you' funk. i dont know if this movie will make me feel better or worse
Really confused on how you base a movie on a book with no plot, but might add it to Netflix when it comes out on DVD.
