There seems to be a neverending barrage of dance shows on TV right now. There's the good (Dancing With the Stars), the bad (Step It Up and Dance), and the ugly (Your Mama Don't Dance). And even though you guys seemed pretty evenly split about the dance show trend, the show that the majority of you were most excited about was So You Think You Can Dance. I completely agree.
Tonight kicks off Season 4 of the show, and from the looks of the preview, this season will be good. Host Cat Deeley (who looks a little like she could be Blake Lively's sister, no?) promises that this year packs "more thrills, more spills, and more talent than any other show on TV." Quite the mighty claim. Tonight, expect the usual American Idol-esque antics during the audition process where the show will focus on the amazingly good and the awesomely bad. From there, the best dancers will get a ticket for the next round of auditions in Las Vegas. I know I'll be tuning in, how about you?

dancing with the stars ISNT good, and Step it up and dance ISNT bad in my opinion. it actually has real dancers (not celebrities) learning to dance outside thier comfort levels, go for "auditions" and realize that they dont know it all!
1I LOVE THIS SHOW!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
2Dance Dance!
I actually like this show...I only started watching last season about halfway through and I got hooked. I'll definitely be watching.
And Caterpillar...pretty much all of the celebrities on DWTS are out of their comfort levels as well
3Your Momma Don't Dance was horrible that it was fun to watch. Ha. I watch last season of So You Think You Can Dance only because I knew one of the dancers and secretly wanted her kicked off....alas no one listened to me(she won) and I might watch the premier for the different dancers/styles. But I'll probably get bored by the end like I did last season. The judges are so lame!
4-What's her name wore a vandalized Marines uniform and I was done, that's disrespectful.
I've never watch SYTYCD but I caught the marathon on mtv last week and not even a full episode into it, the host was already annoying me.
But seeing Kameron Bink made it worth listening to her talking.
5divinedebris - Mia actually apologized for that jacket. She didn't know that it was "vandalized" and felt really bad about it.
Anyway, I'm excited about the show coming back on!! I love it!
6Like bluesarahlou I only started watching last year half way through and it became my fav show on TV. I loved seeing last years dancers on American Idol last night--I can't wait for tonight!!
7i cant wait. **hardly containing herself**
8I'm a fan(atic)!
9ahhh I'm so excited! I caught the marathon on MTV last weekend and fell in love with Neil all over again (because clearly I'm a screaming twelve year old girl). I was really disappointed when Sabra won last year, thought it should've been Danny, so hopefully my pick will win it this year. I also realized (via wikipedia) that Lacey and Lauren were only 18 or 19 last year. They seemed so much older and more put together than me, I can't believe I'm older than them!
10I
this show and am so excited it is back!
11ImJessica- I didn't know she apologized for it, but I'm glad she did. My husband is a Marine and that uniform is something of honor and respect, not something 'so fashionable' people should cut up and parade around- I've seen Fergie in something similar and it's just not something I approve of. I remember my husband saw it and was disgusted by it.
But whatever. And boo to Sabra.
12I love this show!!
13I CAN'T WAIT... though I wish we could skip the 10 episodes of auditions and get right to the real competition! However, sorry to say, it'll go on the TIVO list because tonight is all about Grey's Anatomy.
14blake lively has a sister: it's robin lively from teen witch!
15ovenmitt — Yup, that's true (and Teen Witch looks like it's getting remade with Robin's part going to Ashley Tisdale, yikes). I just think the host looks like Blake Lively a bit.
16I love SYTYCD!!! I've watched it since the second season, and I was ecstatic when Sabra won, although I liked Danny to. Sabra was an inspiration because she hadn't studied dance all of her life. I can't wait to see what talent this year brings.
17i totally agree, Buzz... i just like to give robyn lively a little love when i can!
18I cannoooooooooooot WAIT! I also just fell in love with Neil all over again yesterday when I was sending YouTube videos to a friend who's going to try to watch the show this season.
I liked Sabra but thought Danny deserved the win. Travis is still my all time fave dancer. Can't wait to see who we get to fall in love with this year!
19ovenmitt — Hahaha. . . totally understandable!
20"We. Like. Boys!"
This is my favorite show by far. Is it bad that I (along with half of teenage america) developed a huge crush on Neil last season. He was so cute! I felt like a 14 year old but who cares, that boy can dance.
21I am watching right now! It's my favorite reality show by far, and def in my top 5 favorite shows overall.
22i only started watching SYTYCD last year and to be honest, i really enjoy it. i think that it's the best made dance show of the bunch....and it keeps you coming back. i'm always impressed how they can compare styles across the board...i know that you can see technique but to say that a trained ballerina is as good as a b-boy etc...it's got to be hard to see how they all rate against each other...but i love it.
23This show gives dancers the ability to grow, broaden their skills, and she just what they're made of
24I am so glad that this show is back. I really enjoy it and think that all the choreographers are amazing.
