Get ready for more eyerolls and almost-certainly-manufactured drama: The Hills — the show oh so many people love to hate and/or hate to love — isn't going away anytime soon. The show has just been picked up for a fourth season (not to be confused with the current "season three, part two") that will start in August.
According to Us Weekly, the new season will have 19 episodes following what Lauren, Whitney, Audrina and the gang do this Summer. Which, I'm guessing, will be approximately the same thing they do the rest of the time. Oops, that was bitter. It's just that . . . well, I've admitted before that The Hills is one of my guilty pleasures, but how long can this show really go on? Nineteen more episodes is a long time to spend feeling guilty!
So, the question. For all you Hills lovers, are you still on board for a season four, or are you starting to feel a little bit over it? And for the Hills haters in the audience, well, feel free to vent your anger in the comments below.

I'm already over it. After I watched Lauren get the news that she was going to Paris, and hearing about what she was doing via the tabloids which happened after the aforementioned Paris trip, I realized that I don't need to watch the show if I want to know what's happening to the Hills gang...
I've never felt so free!!!
1As annoyed as I get with this show sometimes, it is pretty much a secret addiction of mine.
2Im already starting to feel over it. Ill probably watch the next season if there is nothing else really on.
3addicted so i guess i am glad
Team LC
4Ah. Rats.
5I don't understand how they can all continue to be so petty and silly when their lives are being televised like this, but what they hey, I'm still on board.
6YAY!!! I love this show and soo glad they picked it up for another season.
YAY!!!
7I think I'm a little over it as well, but after reading the RS article, it makes me think that they're not all as silly and petty as they seem on the show. I'll still watch it but it's not a "can't miss" anymore...
8especially after last night with the whole 'drama' between Audrina/LC/Lo and Audrina supposedly looking for a place. when LC got that house it was "LC and Lo are living in this house" all over the internet, never a mention of Audrina, so it's obvious that she never moved in there. it's just the producers trying to create drama in the show. not to mention all the 'tension' between Heidi & Spencer when they were actually going to events together while all the 'fighting' was being taped.
9I am super happy that the hills will be around another season. I just can't imagine my monday nights without gossip girl and the hills
10Yea for another season!!
11Wait I'm confused--I thought the episodes we were seeing now were Season Three--part 2! If Season Three is really starting for a third time in August then its the longest season EVER!
12This is definitely a show I hate to love and I am definitely on board for Season 4.
13Secret addict and I will definitely be watching season 4!
14i secretly love this show and will totally be tuning in in august lol
15Yay for another season! I love The Hills. I've been watching Lauren since Laguna Beach, I don't think this I can give up this guilty pleasure of mine just yet.
16I thought they already said there would be a 4th? I almost feel they should have just finished while on top, which is what the "Newlyweds" did.. It's just so unrealistic and posed now.. I feel as if it's blasphemy to say this, but I am almost over it.
17i initially watched the Hills because Lauren was going to FIDM, (i was a fashion student at the time here in L.A.).
other than that, i would've never watched it because i didn't even like Lauren when she was on Laguna Beach (big Kristen fan).
Lauren was a dip back then; letting stephen hook up with her, but never made her his girl, and then turned back around and made Kristen his girl. it's like d*mn, you're a douch wrapper!
So when the Hills began, Lauren was doing the fashion thing, and then the dumb b*tch passed up Paris for a guy!!! a guy that she was having a bad relationship with!!!!
i was done then!
but then they have the previews, and they suck you in.
and next thing you know, Heidi is dating a guy who treats her like sh*t. wouldn't be so bad, but i would imagine if i had cameras around me, i would watch what i say and do because the person will eventually find out on TV.
Lauren butts in (she only had to tell Heidi once that Spencer was a punk), and goes on and on.
and of course Spencer gets made at Lauren, because she was putting salt in his game!
Lauren should've backed off.
and she should stop going to Area and Le Deux so much and take her happy butt home and get some sleep so she can be ready for school and work! going to work with stringy hair AIN'T cute!
(le deux sucks by the way . . they create this line and when you get in, it's a bunch a fugly b*tches too cute to move or dance. and the dj kinda sucks).
then Heidi moves out and bull crap begins!
it doesn't matter who is right or wrong.
Lauren and Heidi should drop this crap. and it seems like Heidi kinda moved on, and she wants to squash it. but Lauren is a turd. a bitter turd.
and now Lauren attacks Audrina!
if the girl wants to date guys who leave her stranded in the desert or burps and not bath, hey let her. how you gonna judge, at least Justin Bobby hasn't been to jail (that i know of) or says racial slurs . . .or tries to date you again, and then has the nerve to invite you to his (surprise!) engagement party!
and i didn't like how Lo and Lauran talked crap about Audrina, then invited her to live with them. . .that was some slim, shaddy, sh*t!
and Lauren trust SPencer's sister?!!?
that girl rolled up on you in the club and talked smack to you, and you didn't do anything (i don't like punks). . .and now you all chummy with her?!
i think all of them should leave that girl alone.
and the show at this point is only lasting because of the feud and Heidi/Spencer fighting.
i admire Heidi and SPencer for hawking their a*ses. 15 minutes goes by fast, at least they are trying to get the most out of the embarrassment.
18Anyone else notice how differently Lauren speaks now than she did in the first season of Laguna? And not in a good way? She actually sounded intelligent and now she sounds like a total airhead. I still like her better than Heidi and her chinny chin chin.
19I love the Hills - I don't even feel guilty watching! So glad it's coming back for Season 4!!! xxx
20lo is up to no good! i don't like her
audrina sounds so unsure of herself and lc is saying
less and less. almost like they've been told where to take the conversations but don't want to. anyway, justin bobby looks so much better w/o all that crazy hair. still douche-ie though.
these girls have TERRIBLE taste in men.
21I love it.
22Lo is just blunt and honest and I think those are good qualities. It means she doesn't put up with any fakeness which is rare in the Hills! I'm looking forward to season 4 but only with the hopes that this feud might end - it is starting to get a bit boring. I watched season 1 the other day - Heidi looks so much better then than now! She looks like a plastic barbie doll rather than a natural girl from Colorado.Shame.
23i heart the Hills. while i realize nothing really ever happens, i can't stop watching it.
24I haven't watched it in a while
So they're renewing it, must be lots of fans watching.
25I started to be over it midway thru season3part2.
2619 episodes is a loooot. The producers better think of something really exciting for Lauren to do otherwise I doubt they'll get the same ratings.
It's all getting so old.
Well look what other stellar programming MTV has to offer, The real world, shot at love with Tila Tequila, The Paper, Made, True Life Docs......why wouldnt they renew the ONE show that gets decent ratings? the whole network is a stinking vat of pretentious wannabes.
27I'm unfortunately addicted to the show, so I'm excited for it, but it is getting kind of old because already know what's up with them by just reading People or especially Us...
28i love this show. i watched the first two seasons of Laguna Beach and then the Hills came and ... sadly, it's my guilty pleasure and it's addicting. i even got my boyfriend to watch it with me now
29you're right - we have to wonder how much more they can talk about on the show - but i do watch it ALL The time - so i'm not surprised that MTV wants to capitalize on it.
