I was beginning to worry that I was the only person watching "The Knights of Prosperity," ABC's surprisingly funny Donal Logue sitcom about a group of friends who rob Mick Jagger's apartment. Sadly, it seems I was indeed in the minority: Today, ABC announced that it's pulling the show off the schedule starting with this Wednesday's episode. But want to know the saddest part? According to Zap2It:
The episode titled "Operation: Rent Money" will be replaced by a repeat of "According to Jim," while repeats of "George Lopez" will take the "Prosperity" slot the following two weeks.
Oh yeah, that's just what the world needs: more "According to Jim" and "George Lopez." Ironically, just last week, I declared the off-kilter "Knights" more "Arrested Development" than "George Lopez."
If you never got a chance to watch the show, you missed some pretty hilarious TV. As a tribute, I've rounded up some of my favorite "Knight of Prosperity" moments, so read more
Reliving My Favorite "Knights of Prosperity" Moments
- The show's premise, explained in song, by character Rockefeller Butts.
- Screech as high-profile guest star.
- Entering Jagger's apartment: "Ain't no grails up in this bitch."
- Very awkward father-son bonding.

Awww- that was a really funny show. Maybe too quirky and dry for network television?
Reminds me a bit of when they canceled "Andy Richter Controls the Universe" which was the greatest show ever on television.
1I agree, this show was pretty decent... although I must admit, it's been feeling doomed and over the last few episodes - but at least there wasn't a laugh track.
and a geek, you're right andy richter was great, hey buzz do you know anything about his new show?
2I also loved "Andy Richter Controls the Universe," and, in fact, I have a copy of the pilot for his new show, "Andy Barker P.I." Details to come when I get around to watching it asap!
3This show gets axed...yet crap like The World According to Jim pollutes the airwaves.
4My boyfriend and I saw it for the first time last week, and we really got into it. It was funny and, really, who doesn't like Donal Logue?
5At least it'll be out on DVD soon, just like everything else that's ever been on tv ever.
Agreed, it was a funny show with a (refreshingly) unconventional premise.
6I love single camera 1/2 hours, so it looks like the lone bright spot on ABC's Wednesday "comedy" line-up is the underrated "In Case of Emergency."
Have you guys seen it? Last week's episode was a perfect mix of irreverence, racy humor, and genuine (not schmaltzy) heart.
Too bad. What happened to letting a show find its audience. It only came on in January!
Sunny: I saw the first & third (I think) episodes of *In case of Emergency*, and I liked it.
7David Arquette & the guy from "Ally McBeal" were really funny. The opening of the first episode in the Korean massage parlor has to go down as one of the most awkward reunions on TV.
Oh man! I thought this show was good and it had a lot of potential.
8i never actually watched this show... but i do like according to jim... haha
9I caught the first episode and thought it was HILARIOUS. I never saw it again, didn't even know when it was on. Now I know why - family movie night! Too bad... i hate according to jim
10I like this show. They better get rid if In Case of Emergency too.
11~~~~Sora: W-We're back! Kairi: You're home.
I saw this in the news this morning, I'm pretty bummed too. What is it with all the shows I don't care for getting picked up, while so many I like are all rumored to be on the chopping block?
