TV Tonight: "Pussycat Dolls Present: The Search for the Next Doll"

Ok, I love "America's Next Top Model" [0] as much as the next reality-show junkie, but I don't know if I can stomach The CW's new reality series, "Pussycat Dolls Present: The Search for The Next Doll" [1] — and not just because it means having that awful "Don't Cha" song stuck in my head for days on end.

The series, which premieres tonight at 9 p.m. Eastern, is like a sluttier version of "Grease: You're the One That I Want." [1] Or perhaps "Making the Band" if it were hosted by Mark McGrath [2] (who, by the way, totally ruled on "Rock 'n' Roll Jeopardy.") Lil' Kim, meanwhile, serves as a judge. According to a CW press release:

After a nationwide audition process, the judges narrowed the dancers down to the final diverse group of nine young women, who move into a loft in Los Angeles' fashion district during the competition. Each episode has a specific theme — confidence, creativity and style are just a few of the themes addressed.
