This week, the Academy of Television Arts and Sciences decided that reality show hosts will now get their own Emmy category. Ryan Seacrest, Tom Bergeron, and Julie Chen better start getting those clip reels ready.
So, who's going to be the host (or hostess) with the most (or mostest) come September? Which of these hosts do you think is Emmy-worthy? There are many more reality and game show hosts than what I could fit in this poll, so if your favorites aren't listed, be sure to nominate them in the comments!

I wish Tim Gunn were an option. I know he's not really a host per se, but he's just so darn fabulous. Tyra, on the other hand, needs to go away, despite the fact that I continue to watch ANTM.
1Barf. Definitely NOT Tyra. She gets more annoying and animated with each passing episode.
2Sorry, Ryan Seacrest sucks as the host of American Idol. He's so irritating. He needs to be quiet and just let the judges voice their opinions. He's so rude to Simon, when often Simon's the only one with a legitimate opinion of the competition. That's it for my rant.
3Tom Bergeron, He's just so darn funny and good at what he does. His co-host sucks rocks!

5I actually think if you take the 'annoying-factor' out of Ryan Seacrest, you'd have to admit he's a pretty good host... quick on his feet with the wit on Idol, on E! and on KIIS FM. He's a bit self-deprecating and seems to keep celebs comfortable and the convo moving when he does interviews. It pains me to say this, but I think I actually like him.
6Heidi is adorable though! And Tyra needs to stay employed just so Talk Soup has someone to rag on.

8I would've said Tim Gunn but I don't think he's technically a "host" since Heidi has taken that role so I'm putting in for Padma on Top Chef. She's classy, stylish, honest and I think she's well liked by both genders. She just seems much more realistic and still maintains that style and beauty that television hosts are known for. I always enjoy her on Top Chef and I don't think I can say that about all of the other host choices.

13Hey now! Don't cross TyTy, b*tch be crazy and she'll definitely cut a sugar. She is most definitely ridiculous and cringe-inducing, but she is far more entertaining than anyone else that perhaps takes themselves (and their show) too seriously, or is just plain boring.

18I picked Tom Bergeron, b/c he is hilarious. He's one of those people that thinks on his feet and can come up w/funny lines on the spot.
19Phil Keoghan is amazing, he's handsome, sweet, and does his job well. Julie Chen (Big Brother) and Samantha Harris (Dancing with the Stars) are god-awful.
20Heidi Klum for sure. and of the shows I watch, Cat Deely is the WORST. I want to slit my throat every time she says "jthudgeees". I watch the show despite of her, but I really wish she would go away.
21Voting for Tim Gunn via Heidi. And I agree javsmav, about Cat Deely. Annoying. And the hubby finds her adorable. Go fig.
22Out of that list, the only two shows I watch are Project Runway and ANTM. I picked Heidi, since Tyra can be really annoying at times.

Ryan is a pro - he's quick on his feet, witty and the part that gets me the most is how he keeps a straight and serious face while talking to freaks auditioning on AI. Brilliant!

32If the question was Which is your favorite show, I'd say Project Runway, but the question is about the best host. I think Jeff Probst wins, but I imagine Ryan Seascreat will take the trophy home.

38Ryan Seacrest is a tool. I have no idea why anyone tolerates him.
39Seacrest is a smart cookie under the cheese topping. He was very funny in Knocked Up, he played an ass in a very understated clever way. I think he's very good, and like the slightly mad gay banter he and Simon keep up on Idol - I really wish they'd reveal themselves as lovers.
40I don't care for 'reality' tv all that much but I got addicted to Big Brother 8 years ago, so Julie Chen got my vote, I don't watch any of the others.
41i also agree 100% with firedancyr7. Padma is wonderful. Smart, pretty, and classy and she KNOWS HER STUFF. She participates in the judging in an intelligent, well-informed and well-spoken way. She doesn't seem to make snide comments, she doesn't seem to "ham it up" for the camera and she seems genuine. I am admittedly new to watching Top Chef, but have loved it so far. I'm a bit burnt out on Idol and Tyra is unwatchable. I also like Heidi on PR. I haven't seen any of those other shows...
42Heidi is my fave. However, Heidi also executive produces, which means that it's her show. Jeff is a close second.
43im sorry but ryan seacrest is a horrible host. he is mean, vicious, and isnt funny. i voted for tom bergeron because he is hysterical and he plays live tv up great.
