It's like Legally Blonde meets The Hottie and the Nottie, with a dash of The Girls Next Door tossed in. The House Bunny follows Anna Faris as Shelley, a Playboy bunny who finds herself "too old" to be a bunny anymore. Thrown out of Hef's mansion, she wanders onto a college campus where she discovers a sorority of "nerdy girls" and she becomes their housemother. From the trailer, it looks like she teaches them how to put on makeup and short skirts (the keys to success, apparently?) though by the end of the trailer Shelley herself seems to have learned about the benefits of being a "smart girl."
Though aspects of this movie make me cringe already, I found myself laughing out loud a few times at the trailer, despite Faris' weirdly slurry speech (anyone else notice this?). The House Bunny opens August 22. To check out the trailer, read more.

I would rather be ashlee simpsons lamaze coach than watch this
I'm almost embarassed to say I want to see this, but oh well haha sometimes we need some dumb girly movies
What a terrible-sounding premise! But OMG. Anna Faris is amazing!
haha, maybe Brigette from TGND will watch this and get a clue!
she looks like a young goldie hawn in this pic!
I. Love. Anna. Faris.
Okay, I was all, "this movie sounds like another excuse to celebrate stupid women with literally no plot," but the trailer was not so bad. I even laughed aloud once or twice. Let's hope it doesn't just support the idea that smart women are ugly and recluses!
Some day this will be on TBS and I will probably watch it. Who knows...maybe it'll be a classic on Comedy Central. Until then, I it's already out of my mind.
AJAJAJAJAJAJAJ i thought this was suuuuuuper funny jajajajaja... she's an idiot.. with her exorcist voice! jajajaja she's such an idiot, i love her!
LOL. This is hilarious. I want to see it. HAHAHAHA!
yeah i thought the exorcist voice was retardedly funny. and the manhole... haha. i wouldnt go see this in theater, but i would totally watch it on tv
Oh I agree Renee, everyone needs a dumb chick flick now and then
I love Anna Faris. I will rent this one night when my boyfriend is gone.
That was...interesting. I'm not gonna lie, I would want to see it, but rental not worth my theatre money. BTW: I know I'm putting too much into this BUT how can Anna's character get kicked out if she's 27 and freaking Bridget is 33?
It's pretty okay, smiled a couple of times, but I won't watch it if I'm paying for it XD
jeje i like it!
i thought it was funny
I ♥ Kat Macphee!!!
I saw the trailer and what bothered me most is that she gives all the uncool girls a makeover. I hate that in almost every single movie with this kind of premise, the so-called outcasts are given makeovers to look more "normal". Sydney White is the only example of a movie of this ilk that did not do that that comes to mind.
It might also not be so bad if it didn't have Rumer "I think I'm famous because my parents are" Willis and Katherine McPhee in it. Just because you've been in a reality show doesn't mean you can act.
haha I LOOOVE Anna Farris... I'll see it
Anna Faris is awesome. Her role in Just Friends was hilarious. I can't wait to see her in something new!
hahhahaha I am kinda embarassed to admit that the trailer made me laugh...probably not worth to see at the movies but I may rent it.
reminds me of sidney white..
This is insulting and disgusting. Change yourself to get a man. I can't wait to show my daughters.
i love anna farris AND marla from 40 year old virgin AND jules from superbad!!!! enough reasons for me i think.
I sorta want to see this movie. *blush*
What a great way to spend $10!
I want to see this however I'll wait until I can rent it. Love Anna Faris & Colin Hanks and the looks cute.
what?? why would those (fantastic) geeks wants to be boring/popular?! this movie looks lame.
yeah - I want to see it too...
You're kidding me, right?
When she went over the manhole cover, I spit my water out laughing.
Gee, something tells me by the end of the movie, the "made-over" girls will realize that being pretty isn't everything and that they can't loose themselves in the process.
On the flip side of the feminist coin to those who are upset about making over the smart girls to be typical bunnies, I think we could say the same thing that they are making fun of a beautiful, sexy woman who wants to be smart -- like she can't lift books or keep up with politics. Like that you can't be hot and smart.
Also kinda reminds me of "Sorority Boys"
Omigosh, it looks really funny. I'll check it out.
