Gossip Girl returns April 21, and from the looks of things, the CW wants to remind you of a couple of things:
- The show stars some gorgeous young things.
- They have sex with each other.
- This is scandalous!
The jaded part of me wants to roll my eyes and say, well, of course they're going the nudity-and-sex route to promote a show that, while buzzed about, still doesn't get great ratings. But the GG fan in me is saying "OMFG!" right along with everyone else. We've already been promised more Bad Serena, but it looks like we'll be seeing more of everyone else's naughty side, too.
What do you guys think? Are the ads too much? Or do they just get you even more excited for the 21st? To check out two equally sexy video promos, just read more.

Geez those ads make those pictures make the sex scenes look more scandalous than I remember. Its kinda jarring to see Serena's "O-face" on a national advertisement.
1WAAAAAAYY too much! Not good. At. All.
2wow mega-sexed up.. lol
3This is a little much. Poor choice, IMO.
4I'm not too big of a fan of these ads...the show is much better than the way they are trying to portray it!
5i am so excited!! : D
6I'm so excited for GG to return.
7The ads... not so good.
thumbs down to the ads... those seem like a joke. do they KNOW who their audience is? i mean, hot is good but i dont watch for the sex... i watch for the clothes
8a bit much....i thought they were made up at first
9i think those are just fan vids? arent they abit too raunchy for tv?? but it does get my all OMFG-GOSSIPGIRL-IN__DAYS!!!
10It's a bit much but aren't the books even worse?
11Lovericki — they're actually the official ads that the CW made to promote the return of the show.
12it seems a little desperate
13it's too sexually forced! but i'll still watch it!
14
I love that Selena said the F word on TV!
15I also think this seems a bit desperate but ultimately I think the ads are okay.
i'm sorry. tween and teens girls watch this show and read these books?
16cue the backlash from angry parents in 3...2...1...
17love the show...but not these...a bit too much for their younger audience...hadassah you are so right...I am sure we will be hearing someone complain really soon.
18These are kind of raunchy compared to how tame the show actually is.
19They're silly and I think they're misjudging their target audience. We don't watch for sex... if anything, we watch for drama, glamor and fashion. I'm still looking forward to its return! It's about time we got some more bad Serena!
20The actors and the ads are HOT!
Not sure why they did one with Nate and Serena when it seems those two are over. Poor Dan getting left out of the promos.
So excited for the new episodes!!
21IM REALLY EXCITED!
22this is irresponsible of the CW, and exactly why our children get mixed signals from the media.
23i don't watch gossip girl, but after those posters, i really DON'T want to watch it. it's trying WAY too hard. plus, isn't the CW a family network??
24Seems too desperate to me. :/
25DIOS MIO !
in fact, the DO look like fan videos
so so wrong for the CW, they already have the raiting...
26I'm so excited for the return of this show! I love it so much! I'm sorry but I still don't think that these are racy ads, but i guess adding omfg was a bit much, but i still love it. And i'm still rooting for something with chuck and blair because i love them together.
27they take out the "f" in "omfg" on the tv here.. but ive seen this on. i dont see whats sooo bad about it. im excited for the 21st:).
28Yeah I just saw it on TV and it just says OMG. I think the ads are a bit too racy for teen audiences.
29I can't wait for the 21st!
