Her acceptance almost made me cry...good for her!

I think its good that she won, but I think the others may have been more deserving. on the other hand, the others may have more opportunities to win.

Others definitely were more deserving.

YAAAAAY! I almost teared up for her!! Go Jennifer Hudson, WoootWOOOT!!!!!! She really gave a wonderful performance.

And the Australian news can keep their yearly Oscar "robbed" story intact.

See, the thing is, yeah, for her first performance ever... it was good... great even! but oscar worthy?

Having a good voice is not deserving of an Oscar. All I've heard in the past couple weeks is how powerful her musical performances were in the movie! I mean... of course they are powerful! She's a powerful singer!!! But by no means does that mean she's a powerful actress as well. Her acting may have been good, but compared to Cate Blanchett, Rinko Kikuchi, Abigale Breslin, and Adriana Barraza, it was only sub-par.

I still just do not understand why she won...

I didn't like her on AI because I thought she was so cocky. And I don't think her singing voice is all that great either.

I think that the other women are more talented in their acting. I mean really what other role can Hudson play? Bad move.

indifferent - cos i want to see if she have enough talent and staying power to make another outstanding role in a new movie. i hope she is not a 'one movie wonder' then after the oscar she fades into oblivion.....

Well now that she won the Oscar, we wont be seeing and hopefully not hearing much of her anymore..like former winner Marissa Tomei....she won too, but where is she?? Jennifer is not the greatest singer or actress..maybe if you like to listen to screaming..there were other nomminess more deserving then her...but thats MHO...

She seems like such a nice and deserving person. I'm very glad she won, but it was her first and only movie...we havn't seen all that she can or cannot do yet. Am I contradicting myself? haha
