Ever since I saw her in the TV movie version of Ellen Foster [1], I have been a big fan of actress Jena Malone [2]. She was subtly adorable in Contact [3], appropriately edgy in Donnie Darko [4], and awesome in Saved! [5]

Now, the actress is pursuing a music career, and while those words usually mean trouble, I'm happy to say that the first song, which premiered yesterday on Pitchfork [6], actually sounds pretty promising.
