Ever since I saw her in the TV movie version of Ellen Foster, I have been a big fan of actress Jena Malone. She was subtly adorable in Contact, appropriately edgy in Donnie Darko, and awesome in Saved!
Now, the actress is pursuing a music career, and while those words usually mean trouble, I'm happy to say that the first song, which premiered yesterday on Pitchfork, actually sounds pretty promising. The mature, PJ Harvey-esque ballad is called "Tested Dry," and it will appear on Malone's debut 7-inch later this year. To listen, read more

5this is not really the kind of music i listen to. I can't decide if i like it or not! I was expecting something a little different!
6Oh, and Jena was also in Pride and PRejudice ( i love that movie!) but i didn't like the way she portrayed the character at all... she seemed so fake for some reason!
