Aside from Eddie Murphy — who is getting plenty of deserved praise for Dreamgirls — there really isn't a front-runner for Best Supporting Actor at this year's Oscars. It's anyone's race, as far as I'm concerned. Who do you think should win?

1Alan Arkin was SO funny in LMS, he had me close to peeing my pants the whole time.
2Mark Wahlberg or Djimon Hounsou! I thought Eddie Murphy didn't get beyond a Saturday Night Live impersonation and to me Alan Arkin's character was funny, but not mind blowing or overly original.

4what is it with the lil miss sunshine movie? i thought it was stupid and weird, not that funny at all.. the little girl was so annoying the entire time i just wanted it to end already...
5daisy - I am kinda with you on this one. I just saw Little Miss Sunshine yesterday and was very dissapointed. Perhaps all of the lead up to me seeing it ruined it for me? I kept hearing how funny, charming, well acted, etc.. this film was. I found it to be at times slow and quirky just to be quirky. There were funny moments, but all in all I thought it was just okay.

7Little Miss Sunshine is one of those movies that weeks after seeing it sneaked up on me and I began to appreciate it more. Babel was like that too. While I don't think Eddie Murphy should win, my bet it that he will.
8Linda, I think you are right. Eddie looks poised to win this year, which will be a tragedy.
9Djimon Hounsou. Blood Diamond was a fantastic film and he was great in it.
