Much of the 2007 Oscar buzz is swirling around Jennifer Hudson for her role in Dreamgirls, but does she deserve the award for Best Supporting Actress? Who do you think should win?

Adriana Barraza was phenomenal in Babel; she gave a real Oscar winning performance. Despite that, Jennifer Hudson probably will walk away with yet another award.
1Abigal is too cute, loved that movie!!
2I don't think Abigail will win, but I loved her so I picked her
3Unfortunately, Abigail's performance is the only one I've seen out of these. I loved her, but I was surprised she was nominated.
Is there a "juvenile Oscar" for a child's performance? Someone told me there was now. That might be more fitting.

Abigail's is the only one I've seen as well.
You know who I thought was AWESOME as a supporting actress? Emily Blunt in The Devil Wears Prada. I didn't really like the movie but I loved her! She was even more entertaining than Meryl, in my opinion.
5Adriana Barraza = phenomenal! I also love Abigal Breslin, but I think Jennifer will win it. Am I the only one that is confused by all the Dreamgirls buzz? I didn't think it was that spectacular.
6i think jennifer will win but i'm rooting for Abigail. Did anyone see on the preshow of the SAG awards she packed snacks in her purse?
7Jennifer Hudson who I love. Abigal packing snacks how cute. I loved her as Beau in Signs.
8Adriana Barrazas performance was phenomenal!!!!!!!!!!!! dreamgirls dont get what the fuzz is about do you?
9I agree Whip. I'm not trying to put little Abigail down, but I'd rather see Emily Blunt nominated as well. I'm sure I could come up with others if I thought about it.

I didn't get the whole buzz around Dreamgirls either. It was pretty good, but certainly did not knock my socks off.
11I have yet to see Cate's performance so it is hard to say for sure, but I would give it to Rinko Kikuchi or Adriana Barraza. While Babel had issues as a film, the acting performances from both of these women was award worthy. As for Jennifer Hudson, if this was a singing competition she would win it hands down, but it's not. And Abigail was cute, but not anything astounding. I don't really get all the nominations for Little Miss Sunshine.
12The performances of Cate Blanchett, Rinko Kikuchi and Adriana Barraza blow Jennifer Hudson's out of the water in me opinion. She has an amazing voice, but as yiddidea points out, it's not a singing competition. I think the Abigail was great, and I totally support LMS winning Best Picture based on the ensemble acting alone, but she shouldn't win Best Actress. All of this, of course, is just me spouting off.
13Abigail is the one i saw so i picked her
i think jennifer will win though
14I sure hope Jennifer wins.
