Love him or hate him, Mika is blowing up the UK music charts, and now his infectious, perky pop is making its way to the US. He just released video for his first single, "Grace Kelly," a power ballad inspired by Freddie Mercury that will find its way into your head whether you like it or not. I am not sure what it all means, but it is strangely compelling in a quirky way.
1He reminds me of a mix between Freddie (vocals) and Steven Tyler (stage presence). Its refreshing to see something new out there in the music world! I for one love the song but it took a few listens to get into it.
2I hadn't heard of him until now, and I thought his name was Milka...it almost made me laugh because that was my cat's foster name before I adopted her from the shelter.
I'm listening to 'Grace Kelly' now and I like it a lot. Mika's voice reminds me of Freddie Mercury a little.
3If I saw the guy in that publicity photo looking like that at a party, I would make sure to walk really quickly into another room. He looks odd!
The song... totally catchy. In a way it reminds me of "I Believe In A Thing Called Love" by The Darkness... not the message but that frantic style.
4He definitely has the vocal range of Freddie Mercury which I havent seen in a long time!!!!! I like Grace Kelly...I saw a video of him playing it live and he was really good. I listened to his other stuff but didnt really like it
