Just as Jared Padalecki will probably always be Dean from Gilmore Girls in my mind, I can't look at Fred Savage without thinking of that baby-faced kid coming of age during the '60s and '70s on Wonder Years. But even fresh-faced little boys grow up, and Savage continues to seek out non-Kevin Arnold-related work as he gets older.
Just today it was announced that Savage will play the lead role in a CBS comedy pilot by Family Guy writer/producer Ricky Blitt.
Within the pilot description lies a clue to my real-or-fake TV pilot quiz from earlier today, so to get the info on this definitely real pilot, read more.
Savage will play the lead role in Single White Millionaire, a "comedy about an unassuming millionaire (Savage) in his 30s who is ready to settle down."
What do you think about Fred Savage as an adult actor? Can you take him seriously as anyone besides little Kevin Arnold?

I was so in love with Kevin Arnold.
1Absolutely. I loved his little bit in Austin Powers
2Good for him. I think he should be able to pull it off. I love(d) the Wonder Years.
3I hope he does well! But you know, in my brain he's "Kevin A Mold." Does anyone else remember that WY episode?!
4I saw him the other night on Law and Order: SVU, and he was a serial rapist that would harass his victims trying to bully them into not testifying! I was impressed by how creepy he could be...considering he looks so cuddly!
5Jillness , you are so right since the WY - Ihave seen him in roles that are so against his good boy image, he has such range.
6I like him a lot! And yes, he will always be Kevin Arnold, but I think he really does have a decent range.
A funny little tidbit for you all; he voices the lead character on the cartoon Oswald, which is on the Nickelodeon channel Noggin. It's a pretty cute show, but now all I think of is him. Funny how that works.
7I like him and I hope this new show goes well! His bit in Austin Powers was brilliant; some of my fave moments from the film involved him. Wonder Years was a show I watched all the time when I was growing up.
8He will always be Kevin Arnold to me ... but I'm sure I'll like him as an adult, too.
9Ill love him in anything
LOVED the WYs so much, grew up watching it hehe
10He still looks the same!
11i loved him. i liked his brother too lol.
12My TIVO recently starting catching reruns of the Wonder Years. Still so in love with that show!
13i hate the title for the show and wouldnt' watch it because of that - oh, and a show about another rich person?! boring.
