Those eyes. . . that compassionate face. . . sigh. . Oops — got a little distracted there. I'll leave the manjoyment to Pop and get back to the task at hand.
Where was I? Oh, right. Remember when there was some skepticism around Daniel Craig taking on the role as James Bond? Some argued he wasn't debonaire enough, or something. But he and the team behind Casino Royale proved the naysayers wrong and not only scored huge critical and box office success, but managed to redefine James Bond as the kind of action hero audiences are craving these days: a human being we can actually relate to (see also: Jason Bourne).
These behind-the-scenes clips not only reveal the vast production efforts (including many different shooting locations employed across the globe) going into the next installment, Quantum of Solace, but how cognizant the filmmakers are of what made Casino Royale so special. To me, this means the odds are good that this new movie (despite its mind-boggling title — seriously, quantum and solace . . . what?) will turn out as well as the last one.

3"Quantum of Solace" is a short story from the book "For Your Eyes Only." (A couple of the other stories might sound familiar too: From A View To A Kill, For Your Eyes Only, Risico, The Hidebrand Rarity).
To try and sum it up, it's the concept that human relationships can survive anything except the delth of humanity in one of the partners. Basically, when one person obviously doesn't care whether their partner lives or dies, the blow to the ego can never be forgiven. All human relationships - maintains one of the characters from the story - are based on this concept. If one person seems to want to destroy the other the Quantum of Solace stands at zero; there is no comfort left and the only option is to get away. I've been reading all the Fleming 007 books the past month, and just read this one a couple weeks ago so it's still fresh in my mind!
It's a very clunky device, but from what I've heard they only borrowed the title from the story for the movie and not any of the actual story content. I guess we can be thankful they didn't jump at The Hidebrand Rarity for a title instead!

MJ: The books are awesome and I can't recommend them enough, but definitely start with "Casino Royale" if you can. It's the best, and frankly "For Your Eyes Only" is pretty hit and miss. There is really no way it could have bearing on the new movie either as it's an after-dinner story about a failed marriage being told to Bond by another character. Even if you've seen the movie "Casino Royale" is still worth the read.
The books are pretty short, quick, easy reads. A couple days or over a weekend and you can knock one out, easy.
