It's no secret that ABC's reality series The Bachelor doesn't have the greatest track record in actually getting two people to stay together and love each other forever. However, Trista Rehn, the very first woman to get publicly denied by a Bachelor contestant, was given a chance to find love the same way on The Bachelorette. She not only fell in love, but had a TV wedding and is now making babies.
Probably because of Trista's success, ABC sprinkles in a season of The Bachelorette among all the Bachelors every so often. This summer, DeAnna Pappas, who was dumped last year by a bachelor who chose no one, will get her next shot at love. But first, starting Monday, we'll watch a British man look for love in America on the newest edition of The Bachelor. So which do you prefer to watch: a bunch of hunks vying for the love of a woman, or dozens of women going to great lengths to win a man?
(Side note: These folks seem to be smiling maniacly in all their pictures. Just sayin'.)

V.I.K
I can't stand either show, but I'm a sucker for Trista and Ryan since they've seemed to make it work ... plus they're from my home state!
1I think this show is really degrading for both men and women
2Ugh...Brad. What a scumbag. Hopefully, DeAnna will find a nice guy.
3I loved it when Trista was on The Bachelorette! And I was so glad she ended up with Ryan.
4I'd rather watch the girls fawning over the guy instead of the other way around.
5I think this show is really played out. I don't watch but I think they could find some new interest in the show if they would do another bachelorette.
6i'm not a huge fan of either show, i'm a little skeptical about people finding true love on a tv show.
7it seems to work better when the men have to work for a woman and the woman do the picking. the last bachelor was awful. that "beard" was gross and the final rose ceremony was embarassing. which one was deanna? i thought the couple before that would stay together (hawaii couple)
8Did anyone else see the bachelor re-cap episode recently? I couldn't believe Ryan & Trista are the only couple still together from both shows!
9I'm fed up with reality shows in general - for the money they make, I think networks really ought to work a little harder to entertain us. And I think the Bachelor, Bachelorette shows degrade men, women, humanity and love in general.
10the hawaii couple andy and tessa....meh. i preferred the girl he dumped. she was way more into him. i knew he and tessa wouldn't last. i liked him though, but not her.
11The Bachelorette
12Both suck cos neither of them ever get married. Deanna was cute tho so its a good idea to give her another shot. That last bachelor is an ugly doofus, he made a big mistake not picking anyone!
13i kind of like the bachelorette more - it's interesting to see how different guys and girls are when they are competing. it's almost like the guys become friends with each other when they are vying for attention of the bachelorette whereas the girls get nasty/catty and downright hoish (as we've seen in the promos for this season)
14This show is deader than capri pants in my opinion, but if i had to choose i would say the bachelorette because it seemed more "real" with the men than the over acting of the women
