Hollywood is abuzz with news about more movies going 3-D. The AP reports that the massive success of the 3-D movie Hannah Montana & Miley Cyrus: Best of Both Worlds Concert has inspired many studios to climb on board the conversion of over 10,000 movie screens across the country to support the 3D format.
ComingSoon also reports that all DreamWorks animated films will be released in 3-D from now on.
I'm not sure that just because it says "In 3-D!" next to the title I'll be anymore excited to see a movie. In fact, in some cases it's a turn off. What do you think about this 3-D hype? Are you more likely to see a film if you can reach out and (sorta) touch the characters?

It really does depend on the film. Beowulf and Monster House were AWESOME in 3D, but Harry Potter made me nauseous. I think I prefer the animated 3D to live action, but either way if it's offered in 3D, that's likely how I'll see it. I mean, if it's the same price, why not?
1I agree; it does depend on the film for me. I do like animated films in 3D best, but I'll give others a try.
2I rarely go to movie theaters - I average one trip every two or three years - but I would be more likely to go see a 3D movie, at least once just to see what its like on a big screen.
3I saw Beowulf in 3D and I thought it was awesome. I'd definitely see another 3D movie.
4i used to love watching movies in 3D as a kid but as an adult sometimes it just feels like work. i don't know why either! it isn't like you have to do more other than wearing the goofy glasses. don't you have to pay for the glasses now?
5maybe. i know that when i go to disney world and i see the 3-D movies i relaly like them, so maybe this will motviate me to see it...who knows.
6No — Movies in 3-D bug me!
7U23D - 'nuff said!
8It's definitely fun. It really depends on the movie for me, though.
9Heck no- it ruins the movie. I wear glasses, a perennial pain, sometimes, and I can't see anything without them. No, I haven't considered contacts yet
. But whenever I do wear them, it just looks cheesy, I would rather
see the movie in full detail in 2D, please.
10i'm more likely not to see it, I did see Boewulf only because it was created by a fellow Lithuanian.
11Yep,I'm totally most likely to see a 3D Movie!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
