Recently, a rumor started circulating regarding a fourth installment of the Bourne franchise. Pulling a line from a Variety article about upcoming Universal Pictures projects, some people believed that the fourth movie was a done deal, but according to an Empire article, this is all news to director Paul Greengrass and Matt Damon.
Damon told Empire, "We’ve just kind of been amused by the whole thing. I think it’s one of these stories that has a life of it’s own. Not that we’re against it, we’re all for doing a fourth movie but it means coming up with a good story. There are a lot of things that would have to happen before we would sign up for it."
Do you think a fourth Bourne movie would be a good idea? Do you want more Bourne no matter what? Or should they leave well enough alone with the three movies?

1My mother AND grandmother are both dying for another Bourne movie! The fight scenes are amazing so I wouldn't mind!

7A fourth Bourne movie would be incredible. This would allow some unaswered questions to be answered. Like what was the relationship between Julia Stiles' character and Jason Bourne before everything?

11The only way I'd be happy with that is if they made them just as good as the last three. I don't know if that would be possible, though I admit Ludlum's input has been incredible throughout. If he remains involved, and finds a way to explain the whole thing with Marie (who remained alive for several of the books), then I think I'd be willing to check it out.

13i would definitely see it - although i'm not sure how it would work becuase wasn't the series a TRILOGOY? we'll just have to see how they bring back jason bourne into the mix since he knows what happened to him in the beginning to make him the way he is.

15I wish, but sadly, like Harry Potter and other things in life, at some point they must come to an end. I think the first three are perfect though and could watch them again and again! They're the ONLY action-type movies that I've ever loved ... must just be Matt Damon.

21I would love to see another Bourne film! It doesn't matter if there isn't another book (well, there are two other "Bourne" books written by someone else) because the films didn't closely follow the books at all. Besides, there are plenty of good screen writers in Hollywood, and hey ... didn't Matt Damon win a "Best Original Screenplay" Oscar for his film "Good Will Hunting"?
I also agree that I'd only like to see a fourth film if Matt Damon, Julia Stiles,
Joan Allen were in it and if Paul Greengrass directed it.
Universal may have leaked the story to try and pressure Damon and Greengrass into coming on board. It may come down to Universal telling them "We're going to make a fourth Bourne film with you or without you, but we'd rather make it with you." There is no way Universal won't make a fourth film after the large box office and three Oscars the film received.
22I have the all three movies and I'm definitely ready for a fourth. Hopefully the movie will be just as amazing as the other three.
