Marion Cotillard won the Best Actress Oscar for her portrayal of Edith Piaf in La Vie en Rose. Her fellow nominees included Cate Blanchett, Julie Christie, Laura Linney and Ellen Page, and her speech was absolutely adorable ("You rocked my life!"). How do you feel about this win?

3She seemed really surprised and authentically grateful. It was refreshing.
4She is beautiful.
5All though she was up against some stiff competition I think Marion definitely deserved this win. Seriously how adorable was her speech. She's definitely one of my favorite new actresses.

7she was AMAZING as Edith Piaf - totally deserved win!
8She seemed so humble and real.
9Im not sure i chose her but im glad she won, something about her.
10I haven't been this pleasantly surprised about an Oscar for like 10 years. Never thought she'd win, but she undoubtedly deserves it. What a transformative performance.
11I am so glad she won!
12she deserved it, je l'aime
13More power to her, I suppose
I don't really care that much.
14They all did a great job, but her role was truly a reach and a standout. So happy she won! And she looks stunning.
15I am so very pleased about this one! And her speech was simply adorable.
16She was terrific as Edith; in fact, she WAS Edith. I'm really pleased that she won!
17La Vie En Rose was one of the best movies I've seen this year, and her transformation into Edith Piaf was amazing and unbelievable. 110% agree!
18I was hoping she would win...Im sure it was close between her and Christie. Go Marion!
19Agree!
20Way to go, Marion!
21100 % disagree.
22She was a stunning Edith. Totally 100% deserved win.
23The best. I was afraid she will not win because only Sofia Loren had one for best actress category in a non-english speaking movie. But Marion won it. I would have never watch again if not.
24Olivier rocked her world and she rocked mine when I met her.
BRAVO MARION!
*I meant only Sofia Loren had won for best actress ...*
25so happy for her! she did a great job and she's so gorgeous and charming!
26I thought if they weren't going to award Julie Christie, they would have given it to Ellen page, guess i was wrong .
I guess the Oscar voters still love autobiographical movies/characters.
27I would've loved to see Ellen Page winning, but I have to agree with this one, Marion Cotillard was phenomenal
28Being French myself, I'm very happy and proud that Marion won. She's a great actress, she didn't play Edith Piaf, she WAS her in that movie. She deserved the award!!!
29I'm happy for her! She seemed really shocked that she won.
30She's so cute & genuine. I have to see this movie!
31i think the award is well deserved. if kiera wasn't nominated (as she should have been) then she was certainly the next best winner. congrats!
32She was amazing. I watched this movie on an overseas flight, three times. The lady next to me thought i was crazy sitting there crying and watching the same movie over and over! I love the song about having no regrets.
33Marion was amazing in that movie and I'm so glad to see her win. She blew the others away by far, in my opinion. I think almost everybody that has seen that movie knows that she deserved it.
34I can't stand Marion Cotillard. It should have been Julie Christie.
35I haven't seen this movie yet, but after hearing so much about her performance I definitely want to see it. She was so cute in her acceptance speech - she was completely surprised!
36I'm right there with you, Neve!
37I was hoping for her to win so I'm happy that she did!
38She was adorable accepting the Oscar
So happy for her ! Nobody would think she could win a few years ago.
