Wondering how you're going to get your Shonda Rhimes fix before new episodes of Grey's Anatomy return in late April? Well, if you live in LA, and you have 85 bucks and no plans for Feb. 29, you can go see the casts of Grey's and Private Practice as they throw a singing benefit.
Yup, singing. The casts are putting on a variety show called Good Medicine to benefit crew members who were out of work during the writers' strike.
Now, some of these people have actually been paid to sing before — and they're even quite good at it. Sara Ramirez and Audra McDonald have five Tony Awards between them, Taye Diggs was an original cast member in the stage version of Rent, and Chandra Wilson has been a Broadway star, too. As for the rest of them, well, I guess we'll find out in a couple of weeks. Can you imagine TR Knight singing? Kate Walsh? McSteamy? Which cast members would you most like to hear belt one out?

Sara Ramirez's voice is INcredible. I love Audra McDonald as well. I heard that T.R. Knight is a song and dance man, actually.
1I've had the privilege of seeing--and hearing--both Audra McDonald and Chandra Wilson on Broadway; they are incredible. Sara Ramirez was a real super star as well. I'd love to hear all of them. As for the rest? Hmmm....

3Aww, I'm in LA but I don't have 85 bucks! And I wouldn't want to go alone, and I'd have invite my boyfriend to go which would mean paying for him too.. which would mean I'd have to drop $170 to see it. And that's definitely not in the budget right now. Sad...

7bethany, you need to check out the Spamalot soundtrack. She's INCREDIBLE. She can sing anything. When I first heard the soundtrack, I thought there were three different women in the show. Nope. Just her. Her voice is so versatile.
8I've never heard T.R. Knight sing; I know he's done Broadway and off-Broadway plays, but have any of them been musicals? I can picture him as a song and dance man, though. This could be fun.
9They should have Taye Diggs' wife, Idina Menzel, sing too! She's a Tony-winning Broadway star, and her solo album was just released.
