With the writers' strike officially over, we can safely start looking forward to the return of our regular TV shows in the relatively near future. But when they come back, will you still be watching? One of the big questions right now is whether viewers will tune back in when the major shows return or whether they'll keep doing whatever they did for strike survival — say, reading or watching TV on DVD — instead.
So, I'm wondering: Are you itching for the return of TV? Or have you discovered you can get along just fine without it?

to be honest - i don't even remember what shows i used to watch before the strike. i'm sure that i'll tune back in - but i guess i'm not much of a regular TV person anyway -
1I miss the shows I watched, but there weren't that many: Grey's Anatomy and Gossip Girl mainly. But if they never came back, I'd get over it. Gossip Girl is a guilty pleasure anyway, and Grey's hasn't been as good recently.
Question: How does Nip/Tuck have so many new episodes?
2I'm pretty sure I'm not as hooked now, but like when I went from no cable to cable, I'm pretty sure I'll get sucked back in... I just think it will be a while and I know that there are some shows I was watching I won't be picking back up.
Also, I hadn't been watching the Daily Show for a while (even though I love it, it just got a little too intimidating in the tivo when I didn't keep up with it) and these past few weeks, Jon Stewart and Stephen Colbert have been the only hour of tv I watch! I think that is going to stay, and I'll be selective on what I get sucked back into... I just started doing other things and watching more movies that I don't know if I want to get back into a serial show that I HAVE to watch...
3i'm really only waiting for gossip girl, grey's, and 30 rock. those are my staples at the moment aside from lost.
4I plan to, but I also plan on keeping my strike behaviors.
5The only 2 shows I missed where The Office & Gossip Girl (can they be more different??). I'll be eager for their return.
6I never watch tv in the 1st place. I dont even have cable.
When I'm at my friend's house, we watch this random show about parking ticket meter maids, about people whose cars get ticketed or towed and how they all flip out and b*tch about it.
Its highly entertaining.
7OMG! I miss The Office like crazy! Its been waaaaay too long!
8I'll follow my favorites--Grey's, Desperate Housewives, House, The Office, Pushing Daisies, Ugly Betty, Mad Men, Dexter, Damages, and Friday Night Lights, if it's renewed--but the strike has given me the excuse I needed not to tune back into Private Practice. I'm reading more now and I'd like to keep that up.
9Of course. I miss my shows.
10i used to watch so much tv, but with school and work, tv has become less and less a part of my life. there are a few shows i still watch, but with the writer's strike, my interest has pretty much waned.
11Cannot wait - I'm soo glad it's over!!!!!!!
12i never had a tv before this january. i don't watch all that much tv so i'll still watch the same amount, but maybe save up a few episodes of something and watch them all at once instead of a movie, or something.
13YES, of course! Thank God the strike is over!
14I'm hoping to watch less TV even with the Writer's strike ending. I feel like we're (my husband and I) depending too much on that box for entertainment when there are so many other things that we could be doing.
Our power went out for awhile this weekend and my husband barely knew what to do with himself!
15i love tv
16it didn't really mess up my addiction
some shows were still showing, but i've got a
chance to catch up on my movies... and discover new shows for me like Kyle XY and 4400.
17Like my name says, I'm a tv junkie or at least I was before the strike. I doubt I'll go back to watching as much tv or some of my once favorite shows. The boob tube just took away too much of my time. Plus even some of the shows this season didn't seem as good as they were in previous seasons.
18It's been too long...I miss Ugly Betty and other shows like that, but I've honestly been too hooked on CNN. Who knew politics intrigued me so much. But, I think this is a sign I need to return to my shows...
