Tina Turner and Beyonce were rolling, rolling, rolling on a river Sunday night with their duet rendition of "Proud Mary" at the 50th annual Grammys. Between Beyonce's sequin-studded dress and Tina's silver capris, the two were literally sparkling. But how did you like the performance? Can Tina still rock? And did Beyonce hold up her end of the bargain? Check out the video and then let me know your take.

I had no intentions of watching the show but found out Tina Turner was going to perform and switched it on. She did not disappoint. Wow, what an amazing woman.
1Tina Turner rules. Beyonce looked weird to me last night, like something was different. I dunno.
2I liked seeing Tina Turner but damn Beyonce is super annoying. Her intro was super lame
At 2:33 Im pretty sure that Beyonce actually stepped on Tina Turner
3I'm sorry, but tina turner was so plastic that she couldn't make any other facial expressions other than the one that allowed her to sing. I didn't think the performance was all that great.
4Despite her age, Tina Turner is still better than lots of this young chicks !
5Tina was great. I could do without Beyonce.
6Beyonce's outfit was extremely unflattering. She needs to cover up those thighs. I love Tina though.
7I thought Beyonce's intro was pretty awful as well. She isn't a very good jazz dancer, and was having trouble moving and talking at the same time. But I loved Tina.
8She wasn't talking at all. She was moving her mouth with a backing track
9i knew that everyone else would love it - but for me - it wasn't the best and i didn't care much for it. tina's definitely a trooper though - after all these years - 68 and she's still doing it - but come on? silver lame pants?
10why always that song? There are so many other good ones in her repertoire, is it because they wanted to see beyonce flailing around like that? I turned it down i couldnt listen to it.
lame
11I noticed that last night while watching, JessNess. I didn't care for the performance. I felt like Beyonce was rushing it or something. I don't know. But Tina looks great for her age.
12It was better than it expected--definitely preffered Tina's contribution to Beyonce's.
13I think they would have both looked better if they had switched outfits.
Love Tina, could really do without Beyonce for once in my life.
14It was really freaking awesome. The whole time I kept saying "She's so old and she's sooo good still!"
I hated Beyonce less than I usually do, but Tina freaking rocked.
15Beyonce absolutely channeled Tina. The performance was amazing!
16I thought it was fun and entertaining... I mean, isn't that the whole purpose? To entertain?
17who lip syncs a spoken word???????
18Why didn't they just have tina perform on her own. Homegirl looked better than Beyonce and she's in her 70's. It was soo good to see Tina work it on stage.
I thought it was interesting that Tina was being her usual bad ass self, and Beyonce was always out of breath. Just more proof that these newbies will never be as good as the oldies. Just my opinion!
19tina gets a lifetime pass, but beyonce is always dressed like a tranny. too short, too sparkly, too pageanty. she needs to tone it down.
20I would have loved it...
21Without Beyonce...
As usual, she was trying too hard...
Tina was AMAZING
I got why they put Beyonce with her (the whole "honor the past, celebrate the present that they were harping all night) but Tina definitely could have carried that performance alone. She's awesome. She was the original "Survivor", Beyonce! lol
However, I thought Beyonce did ok, too. She's just not Tina Turner.
22Tina was "Tina". I don't wanna say anything about age but how in the world does she look that gorgeous and give that much in a performance, which on her half was awesome. Beyonce on the other hand, well what do you expect when your standing next to an originator soooooo, yeah
23Tina ROCKS! Beyonce SUX!
24Tina was great!
25I thought Tina rocked but Beyonce...not so much
Her intro was annoying and seemed pointless.
But Tina - I give a shout out - you are a true legend!!!!!
26I liked the performance.
27beyonce's bit in the beginning was just not needed. tina could rock that stage all on her one.
28I think they both looked great!! Just one of many awesome performances that night!
29they did great together!
30The performance is good but I can't stand that song though.
31LOVED IT!
32umm...what is going on with music?? i haven't watched the grammys in 15 years and apparently nothing has changed and all the same crappy musicians are still around. sad and pathetic.i thought that performance was painful.
33JessNess: I totally agree! I was watching last night and it looked like Beyonce smashed Tina's foot! Yeow!
34Music comes in all forms, not just one (THANK GOD!!) sometimes change is good, sometimes not, music has changed and evolved, nothing wrong at all with going back and looking forward, I really liked the perfomances, I think overall the Grammys was good! It had alot of different genres, Country, Gospel, Rap, Hiphop,Rock and so on. Some ppl never appreciate their history...(if its there's to begin with)how far they've come in so many different things but sadly remain the same where it mostly matter..in their day to day life, how they treat others, live their lives and stuff...everyone is NOT the same in EVERYTHING, we are all so different and diverse, so why can't everything else be!?, some music irritate the heck out of us and others we love, ppl like to diss when they don't like a genre or ppl that sing a song, but when it comes to their type of music and someone is insulting it and stuff, well they get angry and defensive cause they think that theirs everyone should love! I never understood that crap, but that's ignorant ppl for ya I guess! Great job the Grammy's did, I'm glad I watched it!!
35Not much ppl grandmothers/mothers or even them can move like that and stand up straight and be healthy if alive, so i defintely aint about dissing no matter what!
BTW nothing's wrong with Beyonce's thighs as mentioned before...the person that should have covered theirs was Amy Whinehouse.
36The Grammys have also had different mainstream genres so there is nothing new there. I think the problem that a lot of people have is that it is the same manufactured music that is "honored" every year. Seriously Im soooo tired of seeing Beyonce at the awards. Everyone brings up how they have acts like Fiest now. Well lets clarify ACT. The only reason that Fiest was even at the Grammys was because she had one hit which was purely fueled by Apple advertisements.
Daft Punk is about as diversified as the Grammys has ever been and they were on for like two minutes. And why was Hannah Montana even there? Why not someone who is talented and not manufactured like Regina Spektor.
Grammys is more these days about who is popular and not who is talented.
37*oops
38The Grammys have always....
Tina sounds great. As someone else pointed out B did step on Tina. More then once i might add.
They both really need a change of wardrobe though.
39Tina's always great. Beyonce makes it painful to watch though, I constantly feel embarrassed for her and her fashion/music choices.
40they look so much like mother daughter!
41Tina was great. Beyonce sounds like a screeching cat.
42i think it was a great performance...except for beyonce stepping on tina....that just sucked
43Tina was good. She's classic. Beyonce can't come close to any of the vocals of any of her idols. She has a 'pretty' voice, not strong or powerful like, for instance, Effie.
44I loved the performance. Tina was amazing.....isn't she always????
45Love it!!
46Ugh, beyonce gives me a headache. I LOVE LOVE LOVE that Tina, even at her age, has nicer legs than Beyonce. HAHAHAHAHA!
47I am definitely not a fan of Beyonce's, at all.
48So, I had trouble watching it at all (I actually muted it during this performance).
First off...I do love Tina Turner~who doesn't right? Well, I found myself cringing throughout the whole performance just waiting for something even worse then the duet to happen. Yep, Beyonce steps on poor Tina's foot and Tina looked as if she wished Beyonce was Rolling Down The River right at that very moment! It had to hurt. Not only was Beyonce wearing stilletos...she doesn't have the smallest feet in town. Everyone pretty much has said how impressed they were that Tina was out there doing her thing considering her age...I wish Tina would graciously remember her age, elevate her foot with ice, and fire her personal clothing assistant! What was up with Beyonce's facial expressions? That was kinda freaking me out a little. I was thinking Broadway everytime the camera was on her face. She would be perfect on Broadway.
49i definitely missed beyonce stepping on tina's foot.
And beyonce didn't miss a beat. poor tina lol.
