Well, we knew the music industry's biggest award show would be huge this year since it was the Grammys' 50th birthday. Between the Beyonce and Tina Turner duet, Kanye's touching performance, and Feist's simple rendition of, "1 2 3 4," this year's Grammy Awards did not disappoint.
What did you think? Was this one of the best Grammy shows you've seen in awhile? Or were there better, more memorable years?

I liked Alicia's performance a lot, and Josh Groban's. As usual I was so annoyed with Kanye's attitude as always.
1Alicia amazed me with her powerful voice.
2didn't watch, just read about it on here!
3i can't say that it was all great - but overall i enjoyed the show. i think that the performances were good and that the right people won for most of the categories
4There's too many performances. I understand it's a music awards show but it's about giving people awards and recognizing them. There are so many performances they barely give any awards. And Kanye is such a jerk.
5A lot of the performances really blew me away! I particularly liked Alicia and John, Kanye (egomaniac), and Beyonce and Tina. I felt like Rihanna could have done better but she was trumped by the unnecessary spectacles around her and the music drowned her out.
6I agree Icterp, I know its a music awards show but it is an awards show! They have way to many performances and you don't get to see them give out all of the awards. I gave up around 10:00 i did dvr it so i will watch the rest later.
7Very entertaining.
8I liked it. Tina Turner, Aretha Franklin, Jerry Lee Lewis, and Little Richard? That's as good as it gets right there. I didn't even know Jerry Lee was still alive.
9barely any awards were given out. they should just have called it a Grammy Music Festival b/c that's all it was - performances from a variety of artists.
10I enjoyed it, but DEAR GOD that show is long.
11The only highlight was the short cameo by Daft Punk
12It was boring as usual...kanyes performance was incredible...beyawnce's was soooooooooo cheesy.
13Kanye annoys me, i loved vince gill taking a stab at him.
14I actually liked all the performances, it was long, but I liked seeing Alicia and Frank Sinatras duet. It was a cool idea.
And holy crap, does anyone realize that Tina Tuner is 68 yrs old?? She's rocks
The contest to pick one of three young performers was dumb, and the host for that was awful. Otherwise I enjoyed the show very much! Loved all the duets, Vince Gill, Jerry Lee Lewis, etc...The show is really improving

15yawn, grammy's 50th was exactly like some old broads birthday party. you bring on old friends to meet new ones, sing some oldies and dance like a fool. The outfits were garish, the speeches were boring and in the end your left thinking well....hopefully the next party will have some real surprises
The beatles thing? wow....horrible.
16i agree lcterp, i couldn't believe we only got to see a few awards being hand out.
There were moments we i was like okay wrap it up. but i was honestly more enjoyed by this year's grammys than i have in a LONG time.
vince gill gets best acceptance speech for his comment toward kanye.
17i honestly though this year's grammys stunk.
the year where madonna performed with gorillas, john legend performing "ordinary people, mariah carey's tour de force performance and kanye west's "goldigger" is the best grammys show i've seen so far. i believe that was in 2006. 2007 and 2008 can't hold a light near 2006's fire. next year better be better.
18I think Alicia's performance with Frank Sinatra was a BIG NO NO. They don't go together at all. The Beatles tribute was great even though Macca couldn't attend.
