It's been the question of the (admittedly less exciting than normal) TV season: Would Lipstick Jungle or Cashmere Mafia win the battle of the fierce, fabulously dressed females? After a long wait, Lipstick finally premiered last night, so now it's time to decide which show reigns supreme. What's your take?

Sorry i never watched SITC either, because I hate the uber vagina shows like this.
1it's sAtc - (and not in) - hehe..sorry i'm passionate about the show.
anyway, i think that lipstick jungle was the better show - at least as far as premiers go. i am still trying to figure out what everyone does on cashmere, and although i like it - i feel like they are TRYING to be too funny - when it's really not a funny show (i don't think). i loved LJ though!
2Definitely agree that Lipstick Jungle seems like a more solid show at this point (one episode!). Cashmere Mafia is fun to watch, but it feels more unrealistic and too fluffy! No real substance.
I look forward to seeing more of Lipstick Jungle!
3LJ was disappointing.. and kinda boring. The only character that was fun to watch was Victory Ford.
4I Tivo'd Lipstick Jungle but didn't get to watch it yet.
5I like both but Lipstick Jungle has more developed and deep characters where as Cashmere Mafia seems a bit of cotton candy. Fun to watch but not too deep.
6I've only seen clips from Cashmere Mafia, but I watched a full episode of Lipstick Jungle and it was embarassingly bad.
7Watching 'Lipstick Jungle' right now and so far it seems a lot better than 'Cashmere Mafia'.
8I Tivo'd Lipstick but haven't watched it yet....this doesn't have anything to do with the show but I was very annoyed with the overly hyped commercials that played on every commercial break.
9I watched Lipstick Jungle last night and I watched Cashmere Mafia (1st episode), so far, only based on first episode, I'd have to say Lipstick Jungle seems more interesting. Better acted, better development of character. True, I don't know if they're the most exciting character (LJ), but yeah, Cashmere Mafia--I didn't even know what those ladies do until the next few episodes, at least w/ LJ, I know immediately what do they do beside looking absolutely fabulous.
10Just remember, SATC season 1 was pretty bad as well.
11I keep thinking about that too, filmgirl81. So far I have liked Cashmere Mafia better, only because it seems more fun. Both shows have been pretty vapid, but that's ok sometimes. I am hoping the characters will become more complex, right now both feel pretty hollow.
12After watching LJ --I've think the friendship on LJ was much more believable and genuine than CM; however, I just didn't feel a connection to the ladies of LJ. Brooke did a great job but the other two characters - I just didn't feel a connection and I got bored when watching their story line minus Wendy (Brook's character). The character Victory - I hope she is more developed throughout the series, her performance and character was weak and just didn't entertain. After 30 minutes I was a little disappointed especially with hype around the show.
13In art, as in life, I prefer Lipstick to Cashmere at this point, though this did surprise me. Lipstick had better acting, more realistic relationships and was just more multi-layered. Mainly though, I just felt like it really captured the glamor of sex and the city, with the high fashion runways and millionaires sending jets. Cashmere Mafia seems more like wealthy, drab housewives and you don't really envy what they have going on. There's just no luster there at this point. However, I would say the shows are tied right now for embarrassingly bad dialog. "We'll go off into the woods and make moccasins?" Am I missing something? On the other hand, Cashmere Caitlin's "cunning linguist" was pretty classic....
14I'm curious about Lipstick Jungle, but I may never watch it...not at the top of my list of shows. DVR is overloaded at the moment already!
15They both suck and will end up getting cancelled. Just you wait and see.
16i need to see - both seem a bit boring, but there's nothing else on, so i'll stay and watch lucy lui and hope her character stops sucking so much...i also like brooke shields, so i'll watch LM for her.
17I think it's being criticized so tough because it's not NEW concepts for TV. It still beats reality crap thus far but we'll see.
18I liked the pilot for Lipstick alot more and the women and clothes.
19If the next few episodes stay at this level or better I'll watch when I'm home.
I forgot to watch last night
20I actually really like Cashmere mafia cuz it seems so much more entertaining. i was never a SATC girl cuz i too don't like uber vagina shows. and i mean every single thing was about their sex lives.
In CM they really show what they do with their careers and it makes you feel a bit inspired. I also really like the juliet/davis story cuz i never expected him to be so under her spell/authority. also i have a soft spot for Davis!
hope cashmere mafia gets picked up again. Decent tv shows are hard to come by these days.
21Both are entertaining in their own ways, so I'll be looking forward to watching both shows! I remember Lindsay Price from the "I wanna be a Toys R Us Kid!" commercials when I was a youngster
)
22Neither.
23I prefer LJ. I cringe when I watch CM because I'm like "Do people really wear stuff like that to work in NY?"
On LJ, I like the fact that they told us what the characters did in the first two minutes. They developed their characters more and I think I'm gonna roll with this for a while. On CM, I'm still trying to figure out what Zoe does.
24i loved how they showed the story of a married woman havinf 0 sex with her husband and cheating on him afterwards. i actually felt sorry for her, and i understood why she did it and i didn't think she was a b*tch
they managed to show a compashionate side of the situation.
cashmere is OK, but come on do women actually wear that kind of ear-rings everyday?
25I voted for Cashmere Mafia because it IS pretty fluffy...I like the escape...and I also prefer the actresses on it. I like Kim Raver a lot, but I'm not a fan of Brooke Shields. She seems like a nice person and all of that, but I can't forget she's Brooke Shields when I'm watching something with her in it so I think that ruins part of the escape factor. I'm going to watch LJ though, at least for a few episodes to see if I like it.
26lipstic jungle is different on its own originality. remeber this is the oriignal concept of chashmere. but what i like about this show is more like a movie. there is a heart involve with this. more realistic than the cashmere show. good thing is...it really differs from sex and the city which is great. (from the same author). funny how a lot of people would say...brooke has wrinkles. oh everything is B ladies on power. I wonder now why the double standard about women do exists. we don't give women a chance to just be...even with this show. people just don't wnt it to last. THERE IS A HEART IN THIS SHOW. SATC IS HISTORY! LIPSTICK JUNGLE IS DIFFERENT. more mature in clothings. a bit real in tackling womens issues. if women works they could be seen as bad moms. if guys works 7o hours. its okay. not fair. and yes. all mr moms deserves recognitions same as all stay home moms. This show is said to be not catty or all about attitudes. IT'S other womens issues. not all but don't we want to respect women for what they can be? THINK ABOUT THE DOUBLE STANDARD. this show is not about all sex. more drama i must say and i love it.
27I love Lipstick Jungle SO MUCH!!!
28I love Cashmere Mafia. The story is fun and entertaining (except Juliet tends to overact big time!) But the characters are cute and it is reminiscent of SATC but not trying too hard...Lipstick Jungle is kind of slow..it takes me awhile to get into it and I think Victory Ford overacts SO BADLY and for someone who says she doesn't cry a lot..well..she does. I just think all of the characters try really hard and they try to make "one-liners" so that they can be quoted later...Hopefully CM will stay
29lipstick has stronger cast and the story. cashmere is all fun.lucy lui is great but she deserves more or i should say better role than what she was in cashmere.most women wants something they can really relate to...mild, simple and not over the top clothes and attitudes. i like both but i am more in-tune with lipstick where they really wear wearable clothes fun, intriguing and some real situation. and that is sexy. the acting is great! and the cast are not all based in beauty but talent!
