This exchange pretty much sums up the dark tone of the trailer for Married Life, a romantic drama starring Patricia Clarkson, Rachel McAdams, Pierce Brosnan and the ever-creepy Chris Cooper. Cooper plays Harry, a man who decides he needs to kill his wife (Clarkson) in order to spare her the pain of him leaving her for the young, beautiful Kay (McAdams). As he sets about planning the "merciful" murder, Harry's friend Richard (Brosnan) falls for Kay.
Set in the 1940s, the film has a rich, sultry look to it, especially McAdams' shockingly white-blond hair. Married Life is set to open in limited release March 7, so to check out the trailer, read more.

3First off, I have to say that I hate, hate, HATE Rachel's hair color.
But I love Chris Cooper and Patricia Clarkson. This may be good.
4Rachel's hair looks awful on her. Very few can pull of platinum blonde and she ain't one of them!
Looks like this would've been better made as a tv episode not a movie.

21looks interesting. i like all the actors, which is a plus, for sure. i also don't like rachel mcadams' hair but i am glad that she gets into her rolls. so many actresses don't and look the same in every movie. boring.
22this sounds like a Woody Allen-type movie
23McAdams platinum do isn't the most flattering on her, but I think they wanted the dramatic, bombshell look. Not to mention an actress with chops, which is why I'm sure Scar-Jo wasn't cast.
