R.E.M.'s older music is definitely a part of the soundtrack to my youth, so it's interesting, as an adult, to hear them make new music, like their latest tune, the fun and catchy "Supernatural Superserious."

1R.E.M. was a HUGE part of my youth's soundtrack as well, Buzz!! I've loved them for years and years...I remember being in the 8th grade listening to "Out of Time" over and over again on my walkman. I was obsessed.
In high school, I adored "Automatic For The People". In my opinion, it's their best album.
I am willing to bet they've still "got it"!

5I love REM, always have - but I usually have to listen to their songs for awhile before I really start liking it. This one didn't sound too great...
6I love REM. I saw them open for the Police on the Synchronicity tour. I still love them and I heard this song on my XM yesterday. Very excited!!
7I bought my first REM single back in 1981 "radio free Europe" and I have been a fan ever since. I remember talking about "The One I Love" with my friends insisting that he was singing about Morrissey!! I remember watching the video for "Pop song 89" and laughing at the topless women, every time i hear that song i do that shimmy dance.
My favorite album of theirs has to be GREEN, I think i listened to it every single night for a year, when i hear "You are the everything" I tear up because its my adolescence i am reminded of.
I stopped buying albums after MONSTER, although i still remain a Fan. Their music lately (and that means the past 10 years) hasnt moved me as much as the earlier stuff.
ALTHOUGH Micheal Stipes writing and work on the soundtrack to "Velvet Goldmine" is brilliance.
I liked this new song, its old school.
