Justin Timberlake has come a long way from when he sported this curly blond 'do. (Can you believe this is the main photo on the star's IMDB page?!). His biggest acting project to date, Alpha Dog, comes out this Friday, and Timberlake is getting stellar reviews for his role.
Inspired by a true story, Emile Hirsch plays Johnny Truelove, a drug dealer in a privileged L.A. suburb who becomes one of the youngest men to ever be on the FBI's most-wanted list. He and his friends imitate what they believe to be the glamorous gangster lifestyle, and when Johnny's competitor Jake Marzursky (Ben Foster) cheats him out of a chunk of money, Johnny kidnaps Jake's younger brother, Zack (Anton Yelchin). A total of 38 people witness the three days during which Zack is Truelove's prisoner, but no one thinks to break up the party and notify the police.
Director Nick Cassavetes has a varied resume, having acted in Face/Off, written the screenplay for Blow, and directed The Notebook. I'm curious to see Timberlake show off his dramatic acting chops; we've already seen him take on comedy. But I'm just not sure the movie will be worth it. so excited to see this movie!
1I am definitely going to see this film. I am not a huge fan of JT, but Ben Foster, Emile Hirsch, Shawn Hatosy and much of the other cast is impressive. I know this film has hit many road blocks before it's release, having been filmed back in 2004, so it will be interesting to see how it turns out.
2Wow! Near the begining I was thinking it was going to be another one of "those movies" but it actually looks pretty good.

4I lived in Santa Barbara when this happened. I used to hike and hang out when he was buried. There's still a memorial there. Just because of how real it is to me, I want to see it. It's an insane story, one of those youjust can't believe is really happening. The good news is Jesse Hollywood (Trulove, in the movie) was caught in south america (teaching and with a pregnant girlfriend I think I remember hearing) so hoepfully he'll be brought to justice.
5I want to see this too. Just storywise, it sounds good, but being based on real events makes it that much better. Can't wait to see what they did with it.
6I watched this movie yesterday, and it really is AMAZING.
I had my doubts about Justin Timberlakes acting... But SERIOUSLY, he was amazing!! He was by far the best from the entire cast.. A REALLY good movie guys i highly reccomend it!
