The star-studded film homage to the holiday got me thinking about other couples I'd like to see in romantic comedies — namely, actors we've never seen paired together or faces that don't usually turn up in the genre. I think this is a great list! Although I don't agree with George/Meryl, Jon/Jennifer, and Robert/Frieda pair-ups, I really believe that Shia/Anna, Ryan/Michelle, James/Emily, Jake/Natalie, and Ryan/ Scarlett would be hit on-screen couples. About Will and Isla being paired together, I think that Isla is too pretty for Will. Same with John and Kristen, I think someone more physically attractive would be better as Kristen's leading man in a romantic comedy. Someone like Ryan Philippe perhaps? I really want to see Sean Faris, Mark Wahlberg, Josh Duhamel, Adrian Grenier, Jesse Metcalfe, etc. do rom-coms!
