Call me a sap all you want, but thinking about this episode still gives me chills and makes me feel like I might weep. From start to finish this episode is dizzying and riveting as we all try to figure out what the deal is with Desmond bouncing around through time.
And, of course, there's the introduction of the term "constant," which in regard to Desmond and Penny is pretty much the most romantic aspect of Lost ever. ("I love you, Penneh! I've always loved you.") And then at the end we glimpse Daniel Faraday's notebook: "If anything happens, Desmond Hume will be my constant." Just such a great, solid episode all around.
